LAFFlines #4: Possibilities & Portobellos
A Note from Abby
First, a critical update: It is possible to halve an apple with your bare hands. Want more laugh at your Thanksgiving gathering? Encourage your guests to give it a go. I included a few tips in this four second video: possibilities.
Portobello mushrooms stuffed with sundried tomatoes, spinach, Italian herbs, and LAFF. For an appetizer-sized portion, use baby portobellos or cremini mushrooms.
Second, it is also possible to stay sane and enjoy preparing the Thanksgiving meal. This week’s savory stuffed portobello recipe is a no-fuss, delicious way for cooks for all ages to help out in the kitchen.
Third, if you need a last minute order of LAFF, hit me up on email, and I’ll get it to you: hello@laffkitchen.com.

Food Inspo for Tgiving
Steve ranked this week’s savory stuffed portobello mushrooms as his favorite LAFF yet. For a more exotic stuffing, try the Chai clementine acorn squash; for sweeter, go for the apple-maple-sage version. All three of these recipes deliver big flavor with minimum stress. You can chat away with guests while preparing a crowd-wowing meal.
Thanks
The world is hard, and hard to understand. But is there a morning when it is not wonderful to be alive? That’s what Thanksgiving means to me. W.S. Merwin says it profoundly in his poem “Thanks” which ends with
“…we are saying thank you thank you we are saying and waving dark though it is”
Wishing you a delightful Thanksgiving,
Abby
